BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Firozabad S.P. Singh Baghel had established a lead of 31077 votes over his nearest SP rival Akshay Yadav in the Tundla assembly segment in the 2014 parliamentary elections. Akshay Yadav however led in the remaining four assembly segments and won the Firozabad Lok Sabha seat.
